Session questions:
  1. Is the increasing field hysteresis on slide 5 due to kinetic effects or causedby an increased transformed phase fraction?

We kindly ask the speakers to reply to any questions left unanswered during the talk.

To our understanding it is due to kinetic effects. The field rate is much higher towards higher applied fields and during demagnetization, the rate of decay is much lower. Thus the increasing hysteresis indicates a limited thermal exchange between the sample and the thermocouple. Eddy current heating be ruled out as the cause of the hysteresis, because it would shift the end temperature after the puls towards higher temperatures, which is not the case in our studies.
